General Imaging G3WP Digital Camera


General Imaging releases its latest digital camera, the G3WP. This 12.2MP camera features 4x optical zoom and a 2.7 inch LCD display. What makes this digicam special is that it is waterproof up to depths of 10 feet. Other features include Face Detection with smile and blink detection, electronic image stabilization, red-eye removal, and sensitivity down to ISO 3200. No info on pricing or availability so far. Habey has a new Intel Atom N270-powered fanless computer that is capable of handling 1080p content and Blu-ray movies. Known as the BIS-6550HD, the computer only needs less than 13 watts. You will be able to upgrade up to 2GB RAM, pick from wireless/HDTV tuner options, and feature more than half a dozen of video connectivity options including VGA, HDMI, Composite and S-Video out, built-in CF socket, SD reader, two SATA II ports, four USB 2.0 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet. Is Twelve Megapixels Enough?


Will the megapixels battle over? Personally I hope it will stop, and wish to all manufactures give more focus to image quality rather than megapixel, according to Akira Watanabe's statement, said that twelve megapixels is
"enough for covering most applications most customers need."

Six Sanyo's New Office Video Projectors


Sanyo today introduced six new video projectors for office purpose. The Sanyo LP-XU355 (3500 lumens) and the Sanyo PL-XU305 (3000 lumens) are both XGA and have WiFi b/g connectivity. Meanwhile, the Sanyo LP-XU350 (3500 lumens), Sanyo LP-UX330, and Sanyo LP-XU301 (3000 lumens) come with an XGA resolution. And the last one is the Sanyo LP-WXU330 (2500 lumens) with a WXGA resolution but doesn't have WiFi feature. [Projectors]
