The Ecobee Smart Thermostat has been released. The manufacturer claims that one is able to recoup the cost of its $385 price tag within 12 to 18 months of use because the Smart Thermostat is energy efficient device. This WiFi-enabled home automation tool also offers ZigBee expansion slots and will cost an additional $35 access fee for the first year of use. [Engadget]
I am the Regional Sales Manager for ecobee. I just want to make a correction to the blog. The $35 first year access fee is included in the $385 price tag.
