Dell G2210 and G2410 flat panel displays
Dell has unveiled two new screens in its G-series range of widescreen flat panel monitors, which it claims are some of its most energy efficient.
The G2210 is a 22in display with a maximum resolution of 1,680x1050 while the G2410 is a 24in HD screen with a resolution of 1920x1080. Both displays have a standard contrast ration of 1,000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1.
The Energy Star and EPEAT gold compliant monitors consumer less than 0.15W when in sleep mode and have a built-in ambient light sensor, which responds to surrounding brightness, automatically adjusting screen brightness levels when enabled. The G2210 has a power consumption of 18W while the G2410 consumes 20W. Both displays also benefit from a 'PowerNap' screensaver application that dims the monitor to minimum brightness or 'sleep' mode when requested.
Available in late February, no prices have been released for the monitors yet.
