Lenovo IdeaPad Y650 touchscreen laptop
Lenovo is stealing a march on rival laptop makers by announcing what it will be showcasing at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Most announcements are expected to be made tomorrow and Wednesday as press briefings are held ahead of the wider unveiling of this year's hottest tech items.
Lenovo's IdeaPad Y650 will distinguish itself by being the thinnest 16in laptop around. This size of laptop started appearing in mid-2008, prompted by interest in Blu-ray high definition video playback possibilities on high-specification laptops. The proportions of the 16in screen mean it will be able to display high-definition movies with having to contort the footage to fit the screen.
