HP Makes Mini 2140 Available


The highly anticipated HP Mini 2140 is now official and available for order on the HP site. As a reminder the HP Mini 2140 features a 10.1″ display, intel atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, 802.11a/b/g/draft-n, bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and aluminum case. Prices start at $499 to $779.

Canon EOS 40D Firmware Update Version 1.1.1


Canon today announced the availability of firmware update version 1.1.1 for the EOS-40D digital SLR camera. The new update software fixes a rare problem that causes a low battery indication, fixes a problem causing a Self Cleaning Sensor error, fixes a malfunction with the direct printing function, modifies the brightness of the AF-assist beam when using an external Speedlite flash unit and enables an external flash on the synchronize terminal to fire when the built-in flash is popped up. KDDI Releases Handset For James Bond Fans


KDDI has recently released the limiited edition of W63S cell phone that comes with a special 007 Quantum of Solace design from AU. Priced at €110 with a contract, the mobile phone features an internal 2.7 inch organic EL WQVGA display with an external 1.1 inch organic EL display, 100MB internal memory, 1Seg support, EZ FeliCa, and a 3MP shooter. Green-House Kana-Micro Digital Audio Player


Green-House is well-known for its cool gadgets. One of their latest gadgets is the Kana-Micro DAP. Measuring 55.4mm x 20mm x 10.5mm and weighing at a mere 10 grams, the player is equipped with a 2GB microSD memory card and supports MP3, WMA and WMA DRM file formats. FlatOut video game


FlatOut is a racing video game developed by Finnish Bugbear Entertainment and published by Empire Interactive and Vivendi Universal Games in 2004 and 2005. Gameplay in Flatout places emphasis on demolition derby-style races, and features a sophisticated physics engine. 16 different cars are included, each with 5 different skins for them. Samsung Hightone Slider Mobile Phone


Samsung Hightone is another mid-range handsets that features a poor 2MP shooter with video recording capability, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Stereo Bluetooth with audible caller ID, up to 8GB memory and speaker-independent voice recognition. The phone is available only in red or blue. The Samsung Hightone will be released via Sprint. No word on pricing yet, but I am sure the price will be reasonable. [DigiTimes]

Sotec’s (Onkyo) C102 netbook has been announced. The netbook is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU running at 1.60GHz, 1GB of RAM, Intel 945GSE Express, 160GB of hard disk drive, Wi-Fi N with the IEEE 802.11b/g/n Draft 2.0. The C102 is available in Platinum Silver and Rich Black. [Sotec]

Olympus SP-590UZ ultra-zoom digital camera


Olympus has recently announced the SP-590UZ ultra-zoom digital camera at CES 2009. This impressive camera features an outstanding 26X zoom lens covering a remarkable 26-676mm focal length range, 10fps sequential shooting, a 12 Megapixel CCD, and a 2.7 inch LCD display. Sanyo Intros Waterproof Xacti Dual Cameras In Full, Standard HD


Sanyo has unveiled two new world’s first waterproof HD cameras ‘DMX-WH1′ and ‘DMX-CA9′, both are ready for full water submersion. The DMX-WH1 is packed with a powerful lens with 30x optical zoom, 43MB of onboard memory, SD card slot and HDMI out. Whereas the DMX-CA9 features a 9 Megapixel sensor, 5X optical zoom and a brand new image processing engine. Other common features include both cameras record in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, has a 2.5 inch display, USB ports, mono speaker and stereo microphone.
