Microsoft Windows 7 to be Released in 2009?


Microsoft Sweden partner blog has recently reported that Microsoft is going to launch the final version of its next operating system named Windows 7 in the third quarter of 2009. However, a beta version of Windows 7 operating system would hit the market soon and there would no second beta for the upcoming version of Microsoft operation system. Speculations going around suggest that Windows 7 will be released in October 2009, but an official release date is yet to be disclosed by Microsoft.


Windows 7 would be the successor of Windows Vista operating system which was officially released on January 30, 2007 and Microsoft has always been saying that the next operating system would hit the market three years after the release of Vista. That means, January 2010 can be the unofficial deadline for the release of Windows 7 operating system. However, there is a strong possibility of Microsoft releasing the final version of Windows 7 operating system in 2009.

Acer TravelMate 6292


Acer has published the details of its TravelMate 6292 ultra-portable notebook, based on Intel "Santa Rosa" platform.


Acer TravelMate 6292 features the new ProFile design, a 12-inch widescreen display with 1280?800 resolution and Mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset supporting the latest Intel Core 2 Duo T7100/T7300/T7500/T7700 processors. The GM965 incorporates the integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and provides support for up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory. This ultra-portable system comes with up to 200GB Serial ATA hard drive and a DVD burner.

HP Pavilion tx2000 Tablet PC


Hewlett-Packard today announced the HP Pavilion tx2000 Tablet PC series, featuring a 12.1-inch touch screen display, and an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor.


The Pavilion tx2000, which is a successor of the tx1000 convertible notebook, supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 250MB of hard drive space, and a built-in DVD burner. The display has a WXGA 1280?800 resolution.

Acer TravelMate 8216WLHi


Acer America yesterday announced the US availability of the Core 2 Duo (Merom)-powered TravelMate 8210 notebook, featuring Blu Ray drive and ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics card with up to 512 MB HyperMemory and up to 256 MB of dedicated GDDR3 VRAM . The first model of the 15.4-inch widescreen 8210 "Small Office Home Office" series, Acer TravelMate 8216WLHi, is now available at select online retailers such as CDW and Best Buy, and it costs from around $2950 to $3000.

Sony’s Latest Vein Authentication Technology


Sony’s Mofiria is the latest finger vein authentication technology that uses a unique method where a CMOS sensor captures scattered light inside the finger veins. The vein pattern is extracted from the captured finger vein image, and data from the pattern is compressed to store in memory, which makes it possible for the data to be stored on a mobile device.
